Description
Metals are elements that are typically shiny, good conductors of heat and electricity, and are malleable and ductile. They are usually found on the left side of the periodic table. Examples include iron, copper, and gold.
Non-metals, on the other hand, are elements that lack the properties of metals. They are usually dull, brittle, poor conductors of heat and electricity, and tend to be gases or solids at room temperature. Non-metals are located on the right side of the periodic table. Examples include oxygen, carbon, and sulfur.
