Description
Newtonian mechanics, also known as classical mechanics, is a branch of physics that deals with the motion of objects and the forces acting upon them. It is based on the laws of motion formulated by Sir Isaac Newton in the late 17th century, which laid the foundation for much of classical physics. Newtonian mechanics applies to objects that are large enough to be visible and moving at speeds much less than the speed of light, and it assumes that the forces involved are not too extreme, such as those found in relativistic or quantum systems.
